Calp immerses itself in the celebration of its Moors and Christians Festivities in honor of the Santíssim Crist de la Suor, marking the festive calendar on October 22nd. These festivities are a symbol of collective identity and a tourism driver that combines devotion, spectacle, and the reenactment of the historical milestone of October 22nd, 1744, when seven Barbary galleots reached its shores.

The program includes emblematic events such as the emotional reenactment of the Landing (Desembarco) at Arenal beach, the colorful and vibrant Parade (Desfile) along Gabriel Miró Avenue, and the unique performance of El Miracle, which commemorates the intervention of Christ. The celebration reaches its peak with the solemn procession on the 22nd, all taking place under the iconic presence of the Peñón de Ifach. These festivities, declared of Regional Tourist Interest, take place in a context of growth for Calp, which seeks to position itself as a destination for experiences that highlight its cultural and festive heritage.
