The Moros y Cristianos of Calpe, held in honor of its patron, the Sant\u00edsimo Cristo del Sudor, is recognized as a Regional Tourist Interest Celebration.
\nIt was in 1976 when a group of locals from Calpe decided to launch a festive project to enhance the celebrations dedicated to the Sant\u00edsimo Cristo del Sudor. Drawing inspiration from historical events that took place on October 22, 1744, they gave rise to the Moros y Cristianos in Calpe.<\/p>\n
