From October 16th to 22nd, Calp celebrates its Moors and Christians Festivities, declared of Regional Tourist Interest, in honor of the Santísimo Cristo del Sudor. During these days, the people of Calp relive the historical episode of October 22nd, 1744, with central events such as the reenactment of the “Landing” (Desembarco) at Arenal beach, the colorful “Parade” (Desfile), the “Miracle” (El Miracle), and the final procession. The festivities combine gunpowder, devotion, and tradition, taking place at a time of high tourism for Calp, as it seeks to consolidate itself as a destination for experiences that highlight its historical and festive heritage.
