The Moors and Christians Association of Calp presents the official poster for the festivities, which will take place from 21 to 26 October 2026 in honour of the Santíssim Crist de la Suor, the patron saint of Calp and a central figure in celebrations that are deeply rooted in the history and identity of our town.
The poster has been created by Enrique Díaz Núñez, who has been entrusted with giving a visual identity to one of the most eagerly awaited celebrations in Calp’s festive calendar. His work will announce and accompany a week during which the streets of Calp will once again be filled with music, colour, gunpowder, tradition and emotion.
A Very Special Edition
The 2026 festivities arrive at a historic moment. The recent declaration of the Moors and Christians Festivities of Calp as a National Tourist Interest Festival recognises the uniqueness and cultural, historical and festive value of a celebration that has kept its traditions alive from generation to generation.
This distinction highlights the importance of the different events that make up our festivities and the way in which they connect Calp’s history with its present. Festive music, parades, the landing, gunpowder, theatre and devotion to the Santíssim Crist de la Suor are all part of a celebration that has become one of the most important expressions of the cultural and festive identity of our town.
For this reason, the 2026 poster has a special meaning. It not only announces a new edition of our festivities, but also becomes the first major image of a celebration entering a new chapter, looking towards the future with the pride of having achieved national recognition.
From 21 to 26 October, Calp Celebrates
For six days, Calp will once again become the setting for a celebration that combines history and tradition with the participation of thousands of people.
From 21 to 26 October, the town’s streets and squares will host the different events of the Moors and Christians festivities. The filaes, festive representatives, musicians, collaborators and residents will once again work together to make one of the most intense and eagerly awaited weeks of the year possible.
The spectacular Moors and Christians Parades, the Landing, El Miracle and the other traditional events will once again showcase the unique character of Calp’s festivities, where historical recreation comes together with music, spectacle, gunpowder and popular participation.
All of this takes place under the protection and devotion of the Santíssim Crist de la Suor, whose feast day forms the religious heart of celebrations that are an inseparable part of Calp’s identity.
An Image to Announce Our Festivities
Every year, the Moors and Christians poster becomes much more than a promotional image. It is the first major announcement that the festivities are approaching and a piece that becomes part of the memories associated with each edition.
The 2026 poster, created by Enrique Díaz Núñez, will accompany the festivities over the coming months and carry the name of the Moors and Christians of Calp beyond our streets.
With its presentation, the countdown to a new edition of our festivities officially begins.
An edition marked by excitement, reunion and, above all, the pride of celebrating our Moors and Christians for the first time under the recognition of National Tourist Interest Festival.
