Calp is the perfect destination for a family getaway, and even more so in October thanks to its Moors and Christians Festival. Music, colour, parades and tradition fill the streets during a celebration in which children also play a leading role.
One of the most highly recommended events is the Children’s Parade, created especially for the youngest participants. Other highlights include El Desembarco, a spectacular historical re-enactment on Arenal-Bol beach, and El Miracle, a performance based on the legend of the Cristo del Sudor.
The trip can be rounded off with a visit to the old town, the Medieval Pobla d’Ifac or the Baños de la Reina, as well as enjoying the beaches, seaside walks and local cuisine.
