The Moors and Christians Festival of Calp continues to celebrate its 50th Anniversary with a very special event. On 26 September, the 50th Anniversary Gathering will take place, bringing together festival members for a full day of friendship, music, tradition and celebration.
The day will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the reception of participants and will feature a complete programme of activities throughout the day.
Programme
- 10:00 a.m. – Reception
- 10:30 a.m. – Breakfast
- 11:30 a.m. – Parade
- 12:30 p.m. – “Arrancades” and Squad Leaders Competition
- 2:30 p.m. – Lunch
- 5:00 p.m. – Afternoon party
One of the highlights of the day will be the “Arrancades” and Squad Leaders Competition, in which each participating group will be made up of 9 festival members plus the squad leader. Each group must take part with its own weapon, and there will be prizes for the best participants.
